Natalia Mehlman Petrzela is the author of Fit Nation: The Gains and Pains of America’s Exercise Obsession (Chicago, 2023) and Classroom Wars: Language, Sex, and the Making of Modern Political Culture (Oxford, 2015). She is currently writing two new books, one on the history of the Hamptons and one on the history of the school culture wars.
Her writing has appeared in various scholarly journals as well as in popular media such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Tablet, The Nation, The Atlantic, and The Washington Post. She is a columnist for MS NOW Opinion.
